![]() ![]() Though many believe the treasure is hidden in the Franklin Mountains of El Paso County, another legend states that the Lost Padre Mine is not in Texas but in New Mexico. Another version of the legend states that when King Philip II ordered Juan de Oñate to colonize the upper Rio Grande in 1595, he hid in the shaft 5,000 silver bars, 4,336 gold ingots, nine burro loads of jewels, and four priceless Aztec codices (books or manuscripts.) The Guadalupe Mission in El Paso, an adobe structure built between 16, is also involved in the legend, some saying that the shadows made by the mission point to the Lost Padre Mine. Before they left, they filled in the shaft. One legend of the Lost Padre Mine says that some 300 burro loads of silver were left in the mine by Jesuits before they continued on their travels to New Mexico. Beginning in the 1580s Spanish conquistadors and priests often passed beneath the peaks of the Franklins on their mission to conquer and colonize the Puebloan villages in present-day New Mexico. These peaks, overlooking the Rio Grande, make up the Paso del Norte (Pass of the North), leading from Mexico into the United States. ![]() Found a beautiful playlist for the first book: Unfortnately there will not be a series since the deadline has passed now but maybe one day or even a movie franchise. So far not so trashy just a little cringey. I am grateful to my friend Scar for exposing me to this "vampire trash" that I love. These markings on their face & body is so beautiful. I have always wanted tattoos but only in connection to my indigenous culture. I have never thought about vampire lore in this way. I know the hag is suppose to be redeemable eventually just not sure when. I hope they all make it through the change. Based on spoilers I know I am suppose to be suspicious of Nefret but she is so Iconic. I am hoping she does not end up with Heath in the end of these 13 books. I wouldnt mind being one." I am hoping (depending if I enjoy boy two as much as I have book 1) there is less sex shaming because zoeybird is definetly horny for Mr.Night. I am liking these vampire versions so far. Looking online its pretty popular especially with indigenous cosplayers. Pros: Cherokee cultural & spiritual representation, pagan rituals i feel as one is accurate TW & cons: Sex shaming, Religious trauma, Brief ED mention ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Driven by unknown demons, he has no tolerance for imperfection, in any aspect of his life, including his recent acquisition. But pages of pages of descriptive sex scenes just ruins the whole mood specially if it just doesn’t help the plot even a bit. ![]() The thing is sex isn’t a bad thing in a romance novel when written well because it can show the depth of emotions between the protagonists. But Sylvia Day didn’t focus on developing the plot line or characters as well as she could have, if she didn’t have them getting it on like rabbits every few pages. And I needed to know what happens, needed to know if these two get their happy ending. No really, the only thing that made me come back each time for this series was the bond between Eva and Gideon made me really love them. Gideon and Eva’s characters are so broken but so strong. In my honest opinion, The Crossfire series had the potential to be a really good series. Let’s start with the most annoying thing about this book series, shall we?
